The human body is an amazing and complex wonder. I had my surgery only 5 short days ago and my body is doing extremely well. I took some pain killers at 430 this morning and it’s now 1214 and I haven’t taken any more pain medication. Now I’m sure in the near future I will be taking some as that slightly uncomfortable feeling is now just starting but I’m still amazing.
I decided to weigh myself this morning to see what the progress has been and I was shocked to see that in 5 days I’ve lost 8 lbs! It’s crazy how many times I have tried to lose weight with various diet and exercise programs and it would take me 4 months to lose 8 lbs. My body would fight me tooth and nail every step of the way. But with the help of the surgery I am finally winning the weight loss battle. A battle I have been fighting for as long as I can remember.
With the weight loss I’ve also noticed something else I get cold very very easily. Yesterday I had the funniest outfit on. I had a striped summer dress and blue polka dot pj pants with a pink sweater on top…I looked ridiculous so much so that my husband took a picture but I was warm.
I want to keep these posts real so I’m also going to tell you with what I’m struggling with at the moment. I’m struggling to get all my food in. You aren’t hungry and you have to time everything so that you don’t drink for 30 minutes before or after a meal. Honestly there’s not enough hours in a day to get my 6 mini meals in. Yesterday I managed to get 5 out of the six meals in by having my supper at 10 pm. And I am not thirsty, I have to set timers to remind myself to drink but other then that everything else is pretty good.
I’m off to eat my snack be back later 🙂
